Google Adwords, now known as Google Ads, is a platform created by Google that allows advertisers to create and display ads on the Google search engine and other parts of the Google ecosystem.

The tool itself is free to use, and advertisers only pay for the budget they spend on their ads.

Google shows ads to people who are searching for something or browsing within the Google Display Network, which is linked to the Google Ads system.

How to get started:

  1. Upload Your Materials: Add your ad content (texts, images, videos, etc.) to the system.
  2. Set Your Targeting: Choose your specific audience based on factors like keywords, demographics, or location.
  3. Configure Your Bidding Strategy: Decide on the bidding strategy and keywords for displaying your ad.
